Viruses are smaller than bacteria. Nano-sized viruses go through filters. Conventional air purifier catch them to remove them but cannot destroy those viruses.
Conventional filters only catch viruses and bacteria on the filters.
Conventional air purifiers have filters to catch and remove bacteria, which do not destroy (kill) them.
When a filter is full, the viruses and bacteria may come loose, which may cause secondary infection.
